Pictures & Thimbledown Love

Hopefully our summer location next year!
Well hellooooo!  Still here in Maine - working, visiting, playing and enjoying the beautiful weather.  Today was in the high 70's, sunny and just beautiful!  Karl and I found a camp to rent for next summer - now we just have to figure out how to pay for it all!  But isn't that we are all doing?!

Here are a few pictures from the trip up and some local pictures for you to enjoy.
This one is for my Texas friends - the rolling GREEN hills of Pennsylvania - much like Maine!

Beautiful Narragansett Bay in RI - my first view of the ocean!

Couldn't resist this one!!

The perfect beach cottage!

Elijah - finally home!

Yummy Thistledown!

Also, I made my trip to Marden's (the local discount store chain that buys all kinds of goodies at low prices). They have an awesome fabric department and I found Thistledown!  A Jill Finley line that I have drooled over for months! Well, now I am the proud owner of a 1/2 yard each of 10 fabrics.  Here's a picture of the lovely fabric - I almost had to kiss it all - I was that head over heels at finding it.  My husband just rolls his eyes and lovingly pays the bill.  Thanks Karl!!

  1. Love the Thistledown fabric! And that beach cottage is so pretty! I think I could handle a week (or two) there! :0)

  2. Oh my goodness get my room ready, I'm joining you there. What a gorgeous spot. I've never been to Maine and it's tops on my list.

    LOVE the Red Sox sign.

Enjoy your beautiful new fabric and beautiful Maine!

  3. It looks like you are really having fun and seeing some wonderful sights.

    Love the fabrics!!!!

  4. Yay! You are back!!!! This is the way life should be.

  5. The very long trip you made by car in just a few days, is something we can hardly imagine here. How long will you be staying?

  6. Love the fabric but love the Pictures of Maine more:) A place I want to visit ......someday

  7. Oh Laurie....our hubby's know us all too well don't they???.....and I think they must go to a secret quilting husband's school to learn that 'rolling the eyes' bit! They all do it!
Love the fabric....and the holiday snaps!
    take care
    XX sugary hugs
    Wendy :O)
