Here are two of the projects I am now working on. One is Jakob's quilt - which is turning out to be quite a project. It comes from "Jelly Roll Quilts" and involved lots of cutting and now lots of piecing. I think in the end it will be worth it, but boy this takes a lot of patience!! Here's the book and where I am right now.
I am also working on hexagons again. These are much larger - 1 1/2". I've always wanted to make a yellow and blue quilt and so I started on a few yellow hexagon flowers. I have some blue materials picked out also that I will start when the yellow is all done. I think this one will be for me!!
That quilt is going to be so pretty! I like the original blue version too. :0)
ReplyDeletePlease keep your hexi quilt for yourself! It will be beautiful and no one will appreciate the hard work that it took to make it more than you.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely going to be worth it. I love the hexies too.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects, Laurie! Wow Jakob's quilt is going to be amazing, but that IS a lot of piecing. Love your flowers, and by all means make it for YOU!
ReplyDeleteLove Jakob's quilt beginning, loads of work but it will be well loved! Wish I had the patience to do a hexie! lol!!!
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Laurie. I love that book too, so many cute patterns in there.
