I Love Pre-Cuts

This little ditty is my latest flimsy.  It measures about 12"x14" and it is made from a mini charm pack of Avalon from Fig Tree.  I'll finish it with batting, backing and I may even try my hand at a little free motion quilting.  The reason I love pre-cuts is that they allow you to create your own little masterpiece that becomes all color coordinated without any fuss.  Pre-cuts come in various sizes - from layer cakes of 10" blocks to mini charms that are 2 1/2" square.  All from the same line of fabric, all color coordinated! So,  for those of us that are color illiterate, with pre-cuts,  we can look like masters when we put together our quilts and wall hangings.
 I LOVE IT!!

See you again soon.

  2. Lovely quilt top. I so agree about how good the fabric ranges are. Especially when you order online and can't see colours in the flesh it is reassuring to order a fabric line and know that all,the colours will be coordinated. I bought a layer cake and a jelly roll of Avalon. I am using it to make my holiday lap quilt and my sewing set for the Country cottage quilting SAL. I hope the jelly roll will work in my Nanna's Farm quilt. This is my first experience with precuts. I really like what you have done with the mini charm pack. The design with the solid colour with the Avalon prints looks great.
