Day 229

This is the closest I've ever been to New Mexico's State Bird- the road runner.  He stayed at the pool to let me take his picture for just a few minutes.  And they really do just run!

  8. And I always thought that the road runner was a work of fiction! Learn something new every day.

  9. Commenting a little late, just found the site. Roadrunner is the state bird of New Mexico. Mockingbird is the state bird of Texas. Love the photo though. I was born in Tex. grew up in NM. Moved back to TX, married and had my kids, then we moved here to California, state bird is Condor now. LOL
